Bobby Peru (Willem Dafoe) The hit man out to kill Sailor is perverse twisted and loves the pursue of the kill.
Juanna (Grace Zabriskie) Is hired to kill the one man (Johnnie Farragut -Harry Dean Stanton) that truly loves Marietta. Juanna is a woman you wouldn’t want to meet in a dark alley. Sexually aroused at the build up to the kill She enjoys the hit entirely too much.

This movie will pull you in hoping Lula and Sailor’s Love will survive the horrors set before them. It is off beat and thrilling.
Nicolas Cage (Sailor) is a force to be reckoned his presence on screen is intense and very sexual.
Laura Dern (Lula) presents wonderful innocence to her character. A victim that only desires her true love, and the end of her rainbow.
Every actor in this film is gloriously intense and gives 110% to the roles they play. This is definitely a pulp classic.
David lynch is as usual a wonderfully imagined Director that leaves no detail as a trivial option. Every scène is meticulously under the scrutiny of David and by his standards Must be perfect! He pulls off his insatiable directing perfection in Wild at Heart Flawlessly.

"This whole world is wild at heart and weird on top," says Laura Dern's in this film. Also a good description for most of Lynch's characters. This is one of his true classics. It's intense, shocking, sexy and brilliant.

I saw this movie at a theater when it was released in 1990 and I thought it was very 'arty' and I like independant type films. I looked to rerent it at Video stores for the last few years but it wasn't available. I checked on ebay and found it was rereleased in 2004 in DVD format so I made a bid. Just seeing a youthful Nicholas Cage and Laura Dern in this wacky film made me realize what a treasure of talent these two are!! It is a little 'Spicy Meatball' film and not for those easily offended by a little racy dialog. Somewhat fairly tale ending but I am sure you will be smiling by the end!!!

If you are a David Lynch Fan like me, just try to imagine a... relatively normal film from this man. Don't try too hard, that's OK. Well, this is as close as you're going to get. Lynch knows it, and he peppers Wild At Heart with just enough OFF THE WALL BIZARRE touches and diversions to stomp out any slight glimmer of mainstream melodrama. For the longtime Lynch fan, get this film and complete your weird little collection of disks. For the uninitiated, get this film for a good start down the dark path of lunacy that is Lynch.
