I use Nikon equipment and I have a SB700 that works fine. A friend showed me YN565EX and its great functionalities - TTL, Nikon and Canon wireless systems, high GN. I found it fantastic, connects fine with my Nikon flash and the price is the best part.
Great speedlight, so far it is as good as top brand ones.
I´ve been using it for quick, outside jobs as well as still photography (food, products).
I do recommend it.

I bought this strobe as a secondary unit but I quickly realized that this is no secondary flash. I have been using it as my primary flash this unit works great with the Yongnuo RF-603N triggers. I really like the weight and the rear LCD screen makes it easy to make adjustments on the fly this flash is very powerful and I find that using outdoors on a stand from 10-20 ft. works fine as a primary or a fill flash.
I definitely recommend this flash for any one wanting to enter the strobist flash world. It's not the Nikon SB series flash but at the price you can't go wrong!

Excellent flash head. Almost perfect substitute to the +++ priced Nikon SBs. Quality of manufacture is excellent. Performance is stunning. Great light quality. Could use some improvements in the menus. The users manual is almost useless.

I had an older model YongNuo flash, a Sigma Flash and a Nikon SB-400. This new model does so much more and better than my other models. I also use a optional external power pack when doing a lot of rapid shots. I can't say enough about it. This model works on both Nikon and Cannon.
