Movie synopsis

AC/DC presents a comprehensive history of the legendary hard-rock band's rare television and video offerings, filmed from 1975 to 1993. Beginning with the ground-breaking Australian COUNTDOWN television version of "Baby, Please Don't Go" and continuing with their fabled appearance on American 70s TV's MIDNIGHT SPECIAL, this compilation features videos, rare promos, and Bon Scott's final television performance, recorded in Spain just days before his death. Arnold Schwarzenegger appears in the "Big Guns" video at the conclusion, and the video track list offers "Back in Black," "Highway to Hell," "Show Business," "Jailbreak," "Shake Your Foundations," "Flick of the Switch," "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap," "High Voltage," "Who Made Who," "Fly on the Wall," "Nervous Shakedown," "Sink the Pink," "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution," "You Shook Me All Night Long," "If You Want Blood," "Riff Raff," "Shot Down in Flames," "Dog Eat Dog," "Danger," "For Those About to Rock," "Hell's Bells," "Rock N Roll Damnation," "Rocker," "Girls Got Rhythm," "Heatseeker," "Stand Up," "That's the Way I Wanna Rock & Roll," "T.N.T.," "Let's Get It Up," and "Are You Ready," among others.

The Holy Grail of Rock N' Roll

Created: 08/07/06
I love AC/DC. I love rock period. AC/DC has been rocking people since the '70s until today, and with the news of a new CD realease on 2007 of all-new material, the good folks at Epic have decided to give us more than 2 1/2 hours of NEVER RELEASED before concert footage and music videos on this DVD. It has all the greats: "Back In Black", "Thunderstruck", "You Shook Me All Night Long", "Highway To Hell", and also lesser known songs, like "Riff Raff", "Fling Thing/Rocker", and "Show Business", plus many, MANY more. This is the DEFINITIVE history of AC/DC. The no-nonsense rockers have done it again, and this is indeed a rare glimpse of this giant band on the small screen. If you love AC/DC....no, if you love rock at all, you will buy this DVD right know. This 2-disc Special Edition is worth every cent.

No offence, but AC/DC charged a few extra $$ by including Black In Black on their Bonfire cd set that most people bought for the Bon Scott material, likewise more likely people bought Family Jewels for only one DVD of the Bon Scott stuff

AC/DC DVD

Created: 14/08/06
This DVD collection is excellent because it has a whole disc devoted to the band's early years with Bon Scott. The second disc is all Brian Johnson tunes. All the videos are together in one set. The only omission was not having "Put the Finger On You" in the set. This set is certainly worth owning if you are a fan of AC/DC and/or heavy metal.

No Nonsense Rock and Roll

Created: 04/09/07
The Family Jewels DVD is great! It has all of the classic songs and performances by AC/DC. The catchy guitar hooks and high energy sounds are just as good now as the first time I heard them. This is straight forward rock and roll with no gimmicks or 'message' like most of todays music. The fact that marketers are using their music shows how unique and relevant their sound continues to be.
