Sublet (saxophone); Darrell Leonard (trumpet); Glen Clark (piano, organ, background vocals); Tony Braunagel (drums, background vocals); Lenny Castro (percussion); Tasha Taylor, John Rubino, Julie Delgado (background vocals).Audio Mixer: Johnny Lee Schell.Recording information: Ultratone Studios, Studio City, CA.Like his late, great brother John Belushi, Jim Belushi has a soft spot in his heart for classic blues and R&B. But as a popular actor in films and television, how does he manage to indulge his passion? Easy: he has a band called the Sacred Hearts with whom he plays blues-drenched barroom music, and then--for maximum exposure--puts it on the soundtrack to his television series ACCORDING TO JIM. There are plenty of old-school favorites here, including Robert Johnson's "Sweet Home Chicago" and the Willie Dixon-penned "Three Hundred Pounds of Joy," but Belushi also ponies up a handful of originals, not to mention leading the proceedings with his off-hand vocal delivery.

Jim Belushi does the Blues well

    Created: 12/07/07
This soundtrack is a compilation of Blues staples and originals that illustrate Jim Belushi's love and passion for this music.

Three tracks that I find are amazing are "Sweet Home Chicago", "Have Love, Will Travel" and "Girl Watcher." All are classics. The CD also highlights Jim's talent for writing music, given no less than 6 tracks out of 14 are penned by him and Glen Clark.

Overall, a good run of a very old genre of music, with a slightly more modern feel on it, while still giving it the respect it's due. Not a classic, but definitely worth a listen.

    Great Album!

    Created: 03/09/06
I love to watch the show and listen to the band. I've been listening to the Blues Brothers for a long time, if I had to compare 'em to another band the Sacred Hearts make a really good comparison in this album. I own the 36-22-36, and Have Love Will Travel CDs which some are included in this album like 300 pounds of Joy, and Have Love Will Travel. Sounds great and a few new great up-beat songs that will get you goin'. Most music you will hear from the TV show. If you're into great blues tunes, this may be the album for you.
