Quick reference food guide

Created: 13/06/09
This book is a very good layman's reference guide to the pH status of numerous everyday food items, thereby enabling me to make wiser food intake decisions. My wife & I have already implemented several food changes already based on the info from this book. It's not an exhaustive manual, but a quick reference. It's great for those of us who want quick info of different food items in order to make quick & healthy eating decisions. I hope the pH levels of more food items are included in future editions and the info is better organized/presented.

Great travel-sized helper

As promised by the title, this book is a great guide on the acid-alkaline continuum. It's pocket-sized too, so carrying it around with one is a cinch.

My only reservation is the categorical system that they use. At times, it's hard to find a food item (and I know I've seen it in there before!). It's alphabetical, kind of. Takes a little getting used to.

Favorite book on the subject

Created: 04/03/07
I've read several books regarding acid-alkaline, including the "pH Miracle". I enjoyed that book, too, but this book is a little more moderate (it encourages whole fruits) and doesn't make any questionable claims (which pH Miracle does). It's small, easily digested, with a nice guide on specific food acid-alkaline values in the 2nd half of the book.

This book is a relatively comprehensive, easy to use book, on the importance of pH balance in the body. It is a great reference for individuals with and without a science background!
