Teddy Ruxpin - the six crystals
Created: 28/04/08
Not only is there the "good morale" guildline message at the end of each episode as most 80's cartoons had, but the colorful friendly looking characters such as the fobs, the bounders, and the wooley whats it, are all a great example for young children to learn cooperation, social diversity, and the importance of good communication. Even some of the evil doers in this classic cartoon are occasionally good moraled characters which it less likely for smaller childern to be scared as Teddy, Grubby, Gimick and the many friends they meet along the way, soar over the land on numerous fun adventures. This exciting, adventure filled oddessy easily captivates the attention and the imagination of the young and old alike.... and if you're lucky enough ( like me) to either still have or able to find and buy the original Teddy Ruxpin and Grubby story telling talking dolls...the adventure seems to come to life as you can teach young childern the fundimentals of reading and KEEP them excited in it. Definately a must have for 80's Cartoon collectors and teaching parents! EXCELLENT COLLECTION!!!

The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin

For those that are not familiar with Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin, let me start off by telling you that this little bear is probably one of the cutest bears you will see. I remember watching Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin as a child and I am now 33yrs old( so I'm a big kid ). I actually purchased this wonderful item to not only reminisce on the good old days but so that my son who is 2yrs old can enjoy what i did as a child and to enhance his imagination. Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin takes you on many wonderful adventures and gives you the feeling that you are actually experiencing the adventure for yourself. If your child enjoys watching shows such as Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go, they will definately enjoy Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin.

The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin was a phenomenal cartoon series, and it was unique for its time in having an ongoing serial storyline, instead of being more episodic. It is great to be able to buy the whole series at once, or at least in three 20-episode chunks, this set being the first of them. The series originally aired on weekday mornings, and was arranged in 5-episode story arcs, so that each week you got to see a fairly complete storyline, and then the next week the major plot would take a new (though still connected) direction. There is plenty of character development and lots of mysteries and backstory to be revealed. You will want to find all 3 volumes, because this series is hard to put down.

Great shows for kids! I have a hard time with my kids getting an opportunity to see something other then re-runs and this did it...should be a series on TV still!
