A Must See and Own - set #3 ! ! !
Created: 18/03/11
Back in the 1990's I purchased all 12 epidodes of the "Young Indiana Jones Series that were available for sale. When I saw that the entire series (to include the never released 10 episodes) was available at a reasonable market price, I jumped at the opportunity to purchase them. With the historical vignettes of actual film footage of the periods, these sets being enjoyment and educational perspective to the viewer. Own all three today; you won't be diasppointed. If you have schoolage children the vignettes will only give then greater understanding of the various periods in American History.

Indiana has even more fans now...
Created: 24/01/09
At the time of this review, I am 44 years old. Several years ago, I got my daughter (she's 14) into the whole "Indiana Jones" trilogy of major motion pictures. When all was said and done, she hungered for more. The recent release of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" helped but it only quenched her thirst for a short time. With that we went out and purchased a couple of Indiana Jones games for our game console at home. This helped as well. However, nothing has satisfied her as much as finding out how Indy came to be the man he is today as this series. It is both educational and entertaining (and it keeps her from getting interested in boys).
Any fan of Indy will surely enjoy the full length feature films collected here.

For History and Adventure - Great Series
Created: 09/03/09
If you like history and adventure, the add-ons to this series are well documented on the disks. Excellent intro to the life of Henry "Indiana" Jones and the intertwining of history in his earlier years, thus, fiction is merged with the reality of the characters. This includes such characters as Mata Hari, Picaso, Lawrence of Arabia, Edison, Churchill, the Red Baron, Louie Armstrong, Freud, Schwitzer and others. Learned more about history as it was brought to life. Beautiful photography. Cudos to George Lucas. What makes this unique is the history lessons of the Ballet, Opera and others. Excellent. Volume III I consider hard to get. I had seen several episodes of the series on cable and decided to buy volume II (The war years). What I received was a pleasent surprise! Had to get all three volumes.

Great TV production

This is such a high quality TV production, that combines entertaining history lessons along with good story lines. Too bad that the series couldn't continue after the 3 years it was on.

Young Indiana Jones, Vol 3
Created: 24/05/09
While the 3rd season of this series was the least interesting of the 3, the documentaries on Special Features more than made up for it. I think the 'Adventures of Young Indiana Jones' series was marvelous and highly educational. I highly recommend the DVD sets to anyone.
