AeroFighters Assault (Nintendo 64, 1997)

This game is by far one of the best titles on the n64. One very cool feature is the lockon option, many current games lack this feature. for example once you lock on to a target, your camera can follow that enemy, making your job loads easier as far as following the enemy. Their are tons of very cool levels that are fun from beggining to end.the variaty of aircraft and weapons is super cool. the replays are awesome. In short i would recomend this game to anyone who likes a good flight sim.

I purchased this item for my son he loves it. I have no complaints on this item. MY son loves to play fighting ang some war game,I don't mind when it's not blood and gore or too vilent.

This game could have been better off if it was named "Bomb everything and never have fun". It is hard to follow and all the game features are listed in one word- weapons. The jets are slow, and the game becomes boring after ten minutes of play. The good comes when you defeat a level because you actually get to see something new. I bought this game for $20, and it was $20 that i would have rather had in my pocket. The game was simply not impressive like most N64 games are. N64 usually produces high quality games, but this time they failed. If you get a chance to buy this game, pass it up...

I bought this game second hand after trying to track it down for quite sometime now, and I am a little disappointed. I read articles stating it was a cross between Sega's Afterburner and Nintendo's Top gun. I never played Nintendo's top gun but I have played Afterburner and that was enough for me (or so I thought). Ok, being a part-time computer programmer, sometimes I can look at console games and get a general idea of where the developers screwed up and where the game has its fine points. On all things concerned, this game just isnt worth the money. The graphics engine the game uses for the n64 uses very definative polygons to make up a very geometric-looking screen. Unfortunately, this sort of display is destined to subtract horribly from the overall replay value when the visuals and the graphical representation is no where near up to par.
