A must read for a sweep it under the carpet world. . .
Created: 10/02/08
This book was written by an amazing woman who candidly exposes herself and her family to educate people about the incredible harm that pornography does! Pornography doesn't just affect & change the person using it, but the family, friends, and loved ones of a person using it! Pornography is incredibly addictive and this day and age incredibly available!
If a family is affected by pornography, Laurie Hall (the author)is so candid about all the phases that she and her husband went through and are probably still going through; that if you are feeling things that no one else gets, you can know that the feelings & the things that you are going through are normal & OK!
Laurie Hall writes about the ugly things that most people do not want to deal with like mastubation & its relation to ponography. . . most people choose to sweep things under the carpet and she has been bold and vulnerable in how this affected her as a wife, mother, and woman as well as the affects on her husband, family, & friends!
I applaud her and believe that this book is a must read for anyone whether they have struggled with pornography or not (someone in their life has, will, or is currently struggling with it) and this will equipt them. If you are a pastor, or councilor, or have teenagers, this is a must read! I would even recomend reading it with you teenagers (trust me there is nothing in this book that they haven't already heard by the time they are 16 or 17), because it will soften their hearts & educate and make them aware of something that the rest of the world isn't teaching them, and that is this . . . "it (pornography) is hurting you and all around you"! Pornography destroys everything and everyone in its path and the sadest part is that thousands and thousands of people are being torn apart by it's clutches and hiding in their shame, because it is an easy addiction to hide (for awhile) & incredibly addictive!

A great book about what a women experiences when her mate is involved in a sexual addiction/affair/etc. Written from a Christian standpoint and gets heavy into quoting scripture at times. A definite proponent for standing by your man...some may be put off by that but those who believe in the sanctity of marriage and the vows made on their wedding day will appreciate the support.
