A good attempt to copy the Arcade Game

After Burner on the Arcade was a a great game especial if you were able to find the version where the seat would fall back and forth as you controlled the fighter jet. That was innovation back in the 1980's. Sega had some awesome games for the arcade like Shinobi, Frogger, Out Run and Quartet. After Burner was one of those games. They knew how to make their games run smoothly for the Sega Master System. I can't say that it is a great game for the Master System because I feel there were to many levels that seemed to repeat the same objective. The enermies didn't have to much depth when it came to their attaching patterns. The graphics and music are good for a game twenty years ago, but the contols are little troublesome at times. Overall, it is a good solid game and very cheap. It is all over ebay and you should beable to find one for under $5.00.
Thanks,
Master Mark S. Kanaar

An suitable rendition of the arcade classic

I love that the graphics are very close to the original. I hate that there is a huge amount of flicker within the game. I decided to buy it because it was cheap and I was feeling nostalgic about my SEGA Master System. I have deliberately kept myself from selling any of post Atari 2600 consoles (I only have the SMS and a Genesis) so that I can use them as my personal wayback machines to the days of when I could come home and pop in a cartridge and play for hours, flip the television on after school and watch cartoons. Good cartoons and not the ones on Cartoon Network, and remember the days when I used to trade games with my friends and compare scores and strategies.
