A fun platform game with an interesting dark twist on the Wonderland story.

Alice Madness Returns is a solid and fun platform game that is challenging but not so much so that one would give up on it. I am currently about half way through the game and the story is interesting though occasionally difficult to follow. I am curious to see how or if Alice solves the mystery that is slowly driving her mad. The game content barely deserves it's M-rating. The game play itself deserves no worse than a T-rating while the story's cut scenes include brief strong language and themes, or at least what I've seen so far. Although it's a little pricey to buy new, buying a used copy runs the risk of not including a valid online pass which can be used to download a free copy of Alice's previous adventure. If you must buy one M-rated game for your kids, this would be a better choice than Duke Nukem Forever.

A psycho Hottie with a Knife!

One word: Wow! If American McGee and Spicy Horse can write this kind of psychological thrill-adventure for Alice, then I hope they get their hands on Red Riding Hood, Wendy in Neverland, and/or Snow White. Personally, I do not recommend this game for those under 16 or 17. It can be quite bloody. However, chopping up doll-headed black slime (Insiduous Ruin), one-eyed teapots (Eye-pots), and gremlin-like protectors of the Hatter's domain can be rather cathartic. Each level -there are six- gets a little darker; the evil-doers a little scarier. It's addicting and fun. I definitely recommend it for more mature game players. I like the artwork; the twisted fantasy-meets-reality touches that can be seen throughout each level. I don't think Alice is truly mad...or is she?

an absolutely amazing game, it captures the twisted joy of american mcguee's vision and is a visually striking and artistic master piece, all the more appreciated by the original game which comes with it, you are getting 2 great games for one price which makes any situation twice as nice

Alice Madness has a interesting and twisted store line to it, great visual art, and ez to understand fight strategies. This was a gift for my girlfriend to play on her xbox360 since she loved playing it on my PC. We both enjoyed playing the game more than once, but we highly do not recommend it for young children do to the sexual (rape) content of the story line.

Origional and fun platformer/combo slasher with dark art and deep story.

I bought this product after watching many reviews and gameplays, and thought this is a realy unique game, with creative and dark art style.
The game combat is very easy to learn and fun, it's like you are dancing while slaying your enemies, and clever use of tactics can be used to end major battles with little or no damage to yourself. The platforming is fun, but gets more challanging towards the end, with more demand on timing and planning. If you fall to your death, you are spawned nearby, with no loading time at all. The story is deep and interesting, with a sad but satisfying ending.
There is no other game like it, this is not your typical Call of Duty game. If you are a fan of platformer and combo slasher, and are interested in a dark story, this is the game for you.
