ALL SHOTS A Dog Lover's Mystery (by Susan Conant)
Created: 17/12/08
This 2007 entry into the entertaining series of murder mysteries set in Cambridge, Massachusetts brings a profound love of and knowledge about dogs into a plot- and character-driven tale of mistaken identity. Like the previous 17 in the collection, this volume brings the reader into rarified the world of dog shows while displaying an uncanny attention to the telling details of commonplace events in typical people's lives. Not as laugh-out-loud as RUFFLY SPEAKING (in which a hearing service dog for a deaf woman has learned to bark at the phone even when no one is calling in order to earn a treat) or as clever as THE BARKER STREET REGULARS (which melds canine characters into a delightfully-savvy narrative derived from Sherlock Holmes), ALL SHOTS remains Best in Show in my book!

This was pretty good as afr as her stuff goes. Dealing with a rare color dog...and touches soem dog show areas. pretty cute. I really like her books and when i saw i missed one- well had to grab it. I tell people new to dogs or shows to get these as the people really DO exist!!
I wish she would add as much detail to things as she used to but...still good!
