) I bought this CD because Glen was scheduled to come to this market to do a show. I knew I would be meeting him again when he did and I thought it would show him the respect due a recording artist to ask him to sign a CD rather than a piece of paper. And, I also remember these songs as hits in the late '60s. I liked them then and still do.
Unfortunately the promoter filed for bankruptcy (nothing to do with Glen) and the show was cancelled.
As for the CD: This is a low-end low-budget recycling project. If all you're interested in are the songs -- and you're not into legal downloads at 99-cents a song -- this is a great buy. However, if you're looking for any of the standard background information that included on any first-class "greatest hits" package this is not it. You'll have to get the information elsewhere (like maybe on Wikipedia). All you get here are the song titles and composers' credits.
The space the label could have used to provide a little basic information about each song is filled with a list of the other CDs in the series.
And so I'm comparing this with the other "greatest hits" CDs I've reviewed here and grading it "average."

) i love glen campbell but this is one of his best by far. been looking for this particular one for a very very long time, happy to have found it, especially the song rhinestone cowboy

The songs on the CD are wounderful. Make a country girl from Arkansas cry they are so beautiful.Not some scratchy live recording.
This great old Glen Campbell CD makes you really appreciate his songs.

This Glen Campbell CD was a great value and had all of his greatest songs on it.
I have been enjoying Glen Campbell's hits ever since and am grateful that the CD was offered on eBay at a very affordable price..since it is not available in stores..it being an older CD.
eBay is wonderful for items like that..that cannot be found
in stores.
