Alpine KTP-445 Car Amplifier

For the price and size of this amp you cannot get any better quality,it will work with other head units besides Alpine too it just needs to be hard wired and will not connect to the supplied wire connections(proffesional install recomended)Mine was installed by Best Buy for $50,took the tech about a half hour so i waited for it. Night and day differance compared to the 18 watts coming out of my Sony head unit,the bass power increased tremendously,and it fit in my dash behind the head unit,not behind or under the seat which is another added bonus to it's size,I highly recomend it if you have a small vehicle with smaller after market speakers,if you have stock paper woofers and tweeters with this amp connected they probably won't last for long.

This is a fantastic unit from alpine, they have recently released another unit ktp-445u which can be used with most any head unit too.

I replaced the speakers in my explorer with some cheap sony speakers which were 45w RMS, most head units including my new alpine MAX out at 45w-52w. That's where this plug and play amp comes in. This unit pushes 45w RMS on each channel.

More power allows higher volumes without distorion and more accurate sound as well. It is very easy to install, but this model is limited to alpine head units only (without modification).

If you already have an alpine head unit this power pack will compliment your system perfectly. its loud and clear. I can barely sit in my truck. bass sound is awesome and treble crystal clear. plus with my alpine unit I can fine tune the sound to my personal preference. Installation is a snap because that's all you do is snap it in. The amp wont take up space and the wiring harness is long enough to mount any where under the dash or glove box. I highly recommend this amplifier to anyone on a budget because this will save you a bundle of cash.

Installed in my 2001 Tahoe between the factory head unit and the factory Matsushita de-amplifier/fifth channel creator. Made my own harness according to instructions I found online (google Tahoe factory high-pass crossover bypass). Amp works just as claimed, takes up little space and gives me just enough boost to my four upgraded door speaker locations. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an economical, small-profile, four-channel amp.

Just plug it into a compatible deck and your speakers will pump out tunes that utilize the full range of your speakers potential. The low/High gain settings are easy to adjust for the stock harness that just cant handle the full load of the amp.
