No doubt one of the best again

Created: 24/08/07
This is Casting Crown's third album. Still the same style as first two albums, down to earth, and the lyrics really speaks. That's just the group's style. If you like their first 2 albums, you will not be disappointed. Most songs were written by Mark Hall, the lead singer. It even includes a song written by him at age of 15! He wrote the song as a prayer for his friend. The title "The Altar and The Door" indicates the place all believers live, between the Altar and the Door. The songs with * are my favorites:

What this world needs *
Every man
Slow Fade - Singing Debut with Mark Hall's daughter
East To West *
The Word is alive * - Created by both Mark Hall and Steven Curtis Chapman
The Altar and the door *
Somewhere in the middle
I know You're There
Prayer for a friend - A song written by Mark Hall when he's 15 years old
All Because of Jesus

The first 2 albums were all platinum-selling. This one will no doubt be platinum again.

Thank you for reading! God bless!

Casting Crowns - The Altar & The Door(2007)

Created: 02/12/07
The third long awaited release in the fall of this year for Casting Crowns is here! Compared to the first two releases, this is nothing like their previous music. For those who may not have heard this album yet, you may be in for a surprise. Mark Hall has done some very impressive ballad and inspiring somgs. This album takes both the music and the lyrics a step further. You listen to these songs and you find that they are filled with rich heart to heart realisitc lyrics. You get a taste of it from two of the songs, East To West and Slow Fade. As far as I know the East To West song has been climbing the charts drastically within the beginnings of it being played on Christian radio. Most of these songs and their styles are not new, but certainly have been updated by dusting off soem of the older artists like Wayne Watson and Steve Green in the fact that the lyrics are driven from a deep personal level, which is lacking in the Christian community. This album is both disturbing and uplifting.

Awesome cd!!!

Created: 29/08/07
I just bought this cd today. I already love it. The first song ("What This World Needs") on the cd gets things going with the rockiness of the song. Some of the songs sound like the classic Casting Crowns, but other songs like "The Alter and the Door" has a little bit of a different sound. This cd also, as in the other two cds, talks about difficult subjects. As in "Somewhere In the Middle" talks about us and if we are willing to trade our dream for God's. This cd is a solid choice for anyone. I LOVE Casting Crowns and I LOVE this cd. The Alter and the Door is a sure hit!!! This band is truly for God and they show it through this masterpiece.

Thouraghly Satisfied

I bought "The Altar and the Door" CD by Casting Crowns. They are a Christian evangelical group with songs concerning REAL LIFE the heart/mind and the things folks actually do or rationalize about. This is just one of many CD's they have out. If you can handle the truth about yourself and admit it these songs will help you manage your life better through GOD. They do have a way of making you feel good and closer to GOD.
