Product description

Product Information
In the Kingdom of Varuna an evil Baron, with the help of a dark sorcerer and a legion of pirates, has overthrown and imprisoned the king. You are Flint, a renegade swordsman on a quest to free the kingdom from the Baron's sinister rule. Through a land of hidden danger, you wield your sword, navigating an immense story fraught with bizarre characters, brain-twisting puzzles, and wild games. But beware, an even greater evil is about to be revealed. The storyline alone, is enough of a reason to buy this game. But if you want more reasons, there are plenty of them crisp graphics, innovative gameplay, and superb music are just a few of them. The battle system remains mostly the same from the first Alundra, retaining the real-time battle system. The puzzles are also much like the original, some being very easy and others much more difficult. If you were a fan of the original Alundra, or if you're an Adventure or RPG fan, then this is the game for you.

A solid, but unspectacular action RPG

Created: 19/12/06
Gameplay is very similar to 16-bit games much like Beyond Oasis, Zelda 3, and Light Crusader with inventory management reminiscent of Y's 3. Basically just an old school hack and slash adventure with a block puzzle thrown in from time to time. Short of the occasional FMV and the 3D graphics this game could have easily been done years ago on older systems. Graphically it looks quite nice, but the camera angle is a little difficult at times. Overall a decent game that doesn't really live up to modern standards. Fans of titles like Soul Reaver and the PSX Final Fantasy games would be better off to look elsewhere.

Another Classic from the makers of Alundra!

Created: 07/11/06
This game was a great deal of fun. It changes from the basic game play of the original Alundra, which played like Legend of Zelda. This game goes into the fully 3-d platforming genre, and does it well. It has some of the best humor I have seen in a game in a long time and it definitely is a must play, if you are a fan of either anime, platform games, or rpg's with a sense of humor. I highly recommend this game to all.

Great RPG Classic!

Alundra2 may not be as pretty as some of the high budgeted giants, but it is a wholesome game. It has what counts hours of gameplay, and replay value. The story line is well done, and flows pretty good. A must have for people who enjoy oldschool RPG's

no real ties to the first game...but it's fun by itself

Created: 28/10/10
Standing alone, Alundra II is a good game. I enjoyed it, in fact this cd is a replacement for the one my brother lost- I liked it enough to want another copy! But you can't play the game looking everywhere for tie ins to the first Alundra. It'll just frustrate you and make the game disappointing. Playing it just for itself though is entertaining enough. All in all I think it's a good game, I just wish I hadn't expected a squeal or the like when I first got a hold of it.

I love it

I liked this game because about 3 or 4 years ago I rented this game, but I didn't get enough time to beat it. So when I got some cash in my pocket I thought of this game and ebay was the easiest place to get it. I like oldies and ebay was the only place that was selling the game.
