This is a great device for someone who is looking for near book reading experience with combination with Wi-Fi capabilities. The experimental browser seems to do a nice job, with all the sites i tried were displayed properly. Remember, that's still all are in black&white display, but this what's making mostly why battery's life is so long. I hadn't used a 3G connectivity option yet, but the fact is that it's unlocked makes it more comfortable to use in places where Wi-Fi isn't available and you make connect to the internet using your cellular provider carrier. The device have internal 4GB free space and additional 4 or 5GB on the amazon cloud service (whispernet or something) . It took a little time to understand proper usage of the device, that's why it's strongly recommended to read it's manual before starting the use of the device. Many answers to questions cam be found there. For an example, how to deliver books or reading files to the device and making them visible for usage (you have to send the files to your unique xxxxx@kindle.com e-mail, log on to your amazon account BEFORE that and define legible e-mail accounts that can send files to your Kindle Touch device, you can't just deliver them by USB connection to the PC, it won't work that way). To be able to enjoy MP3 player or audiobooks, you have to connect via USB and deliver mp3 files or audiobooks files to prover directories ONLY (there is a specific directory for each, you can find out more by reading the manual). So, it's still isn't a tablet, it weights much less and it's size smaller too, but for reading the books, E-Ink technology is the best and for sure it worth the money!

I bought my kindle keyboard originally because the Kindle Touch was yet to be released and its arrival in Australia was still some time off. After waiting some time for the touch's Australian release, I could wait no longer and found one with 3G for sale on eBay for about half the cost the wifi only version was to be sold for here. It has been well worth the wait.
The Kindle Touch is very easy to navigate and its controls are intuitive. The Touch is lighter and smaller than the Keyboard and I rather like it's Graphite finish. It looks as good as it functions.
The battery lasts for sometime. I think the advertising states the battery will last up to a month with average use of 30 mins or so a day. This is easily the case and it lasts even longer if Wifi is turned off. I would rarely sit down with it to read for only 30 mins at a time and still the battery keeps going.
I have found little to dislike about the Kindle Touch. In fact the only dislike I have come up with is that the genuine Kindle lighted covers are very limited in colours. Just a few quite drab covers, I chose the black as it's a good default colour and the best of a bad bunch of colours. The covers themselves are quite expensive. I also found one of these on eBay for about half the cost including postage. There are other lighted covers out there but none with the light built in, running off the kindle's own battery so only one thing to charge when needed. The original cover design is as sleek as the Touch itself without the extra battery pack or chunky clip on light. Brighter colours would be an improvement though.
If you're after an iPad like tablet the has a colour screen and is able to show movies and has it's own "apps" then the new Kindle Fire may be more your thing but I already have something similar and didn't see the point in buy another. However, if you're after a simple, easy to use, dedicated Ebook reader, then the Kindle Touch could be just the thing for you. I love mine.

An excellent buy. Great clarity, and relatively simple to use.
3G downloads means you can get books anywhere anytime. Range of books very good and I like the sample service. Still can't work out how to delete some documents from archives, and Kindle email help was not much use.If you are reading items with foreign terminology(non English words in it) dictionary is generally not able to assist with a translation.

I am an avid reader and am always at my local library so my family suggested that I get a Kindle.
I like the ease with which I can preview and download books without having to travel to the library. I haven't had it long enough to find any bad points.
I looked at a number of other readers and read much about them but decided that the Amazon Touch Wi-Fi + 3G was best suited to my requirements

A welcome upgrade from the original Amazon Kindle. The reading experience like all Kindle's are superior to any other screen based reading technology. The Touch adds a unique and seamless interface as an option to using the button version. Its not as lazy as the regular Kindle or a book for that matter. You always need to lock on and off the screen to prevent accidental scrolling and be precise with your touch interactions. Perfect for a conscious touch screen interface user.
Cons: The starting up times could be quicker, Ads could be targeted.
Overall a great reading and touching experience :)
