) I bought this as a gift for wife. She loves to sing karaoke and this is a very fun and innovated way to challenge ones own ability. The game play is good and very similar to the game Rock Band for vocal piece. This game has many songs to choose from. If you are into singing and have no desire to play any of the analog interments, this would be a good investment. One disappointing aspect of the game is that Paula Abdul is not featured. She has been replaced with another woman. Guess we will leave it to Randy and Simon!

I bought this game for my gf, thinking that it would be a karaoke type of game.
But it's not. American Idol is a rhythm game which asks you to press the square, triangle, circle and cross in sync with the music. The game is very similar to gitaroo man, and to a extend, also with ddr, only with buttons.
on the bright side, the range of music is actually quite good, and it's quite funny to listen to your player go tone deaf when you don't press the right button at the right time.
overall, if you like american idol, you might enjoy this game. the price is quite good on ebay too.

) I’m a big fan of American idol, so I guessed why not let me try the game, and let me tell ya it's fun and exciting and I can't get enough of it, but the judges are crucial lol if you can't sing trust me Simon will tell you it's like you're really at the American idol auditions! It’s a great, fun, exciting game and I’ll know you'll love it!

I do wish there was more sayings from the judges, but the ones they have are hilarious!
Love the charters! This is something that is fun for the whole family and friends.
Different levels are great. I am yet to go to hollywood and I am told by the judges I sound like 20 cats thats has been shaken in a bag or something like that.
Highly recomend this game for family and friends. A great way for parents and children to connect!
