Publisher's Note
First there were ten--a curious assortment of strangers summoned as weekend guests to a private island off the coast of Devon. Their host, an eccentric millionaire unkonwn to all of them, is nowhere to be found. All that the guests have in common is a wicked past they're unwilling to reveal--and a secret that will seal their fate. For each has been marked for murder. One by one they fall prey. Before the weekend is out, there will be none. And only the dead are above suspicion.

A killer stalks a group of ten total strangers on an isolated island off the Devon coast, in a suspenseful story of murder and retribution set to a sinister nursery rhyme.

Very interesting read, despite era difference

We read this in book club and it was very interesting. I was worried that the era difference in grammar would be a problem but in some ways made it more interesting. I had no idea "who did it" which is great seeing as how most authors you can figure out anymore. What a nice difference from modern day authors. A classic that still has it!

Christie will keep you guessing to the very last page!

I think I was in the 8th grade the first time this book was read to me by our teacher. She would only read about one chapter per day and by the end of the first week I couldn't take it anymore—I had to go out and by this book and read it myself! This is honestly one of those novels you won't be able to put down (unless you're one of those people that read the last chapter first) because it's just such a gripping story and you'll want to read it to the end to see how it unfolds. You won't be disappointed.

My Favorite Agatha Christie Novel ever!

This book was fantastic! It kept me guessing until the very end, i couldn't set it down for a moment. Christie uses her wittyness in the book so ironically that it made me smile. This is my favorite Agatha Christie i have read and i am an avid reader of her novels. Trust me, you will not be disappointed if you buy this book.

Agatha Christie is a fantastic writer, keeps me captivated to the last sentence. I've read some of her other work but this was by far the best book she has ever wrote.
