Movie synopsis
Based on the writings of STAR TREK creator Gene Roddenberry, the sci-fi television series ANDROMEDA stars Kevin Sorbo (of HERCULES fame) as Dylan Hunt, captain of the sentient starship Andromeda Ascendant for the All-Systems Commonwealth, a galaxy-spanning near-utopian government. Ordered to the far end of a galaxy to rescue a star system from a rapidly approaching black hole, Hunt and his crew become frozen in time for 300 years until a passing ship awakens them. To their dismay, they find that the Commonwealth government has fallen apart and the various member galaxies now exist in utter chaos under a militant organization known as the Nietzscheans. The series follows Hunt and the Andromeda crew as they cope with their new environment and attempt to restore order while fending off the hostile forces that wish to destroy them. This collection presents the series in its entirety for a total of five seasons and 110 episodes.

A Good Series

) The series is like most sci-fi series. It has good looking men and women who are fighting the bad guys and sometimes one another. This one is different, because the main character, Dylan Hunt was frozen in time for several hundred years, so you have a fish out of water situation as well. The last season is not as good as the rest, because the setting is changed from the sentient ship to a planet setting for most of that time. It is well worth the watch, because the aliens are new and exciting and the main characters interesting. You want to care about them, even when they aren't being very nice.

) The best way to enjoy this series. All five years in one compact (at least compared to the individual year sets) set. This was a great series and I am enjoying visiting this universe again.
If you like good science fiction you will probably like this series because it has all the basic elements of a good story - good vs evil mixed with enjoyable characters and good special effects. A good way to spend the evening.
This set is especially nice for the price as it is much cheaper than buying each individual year and it takes up a lot less space on the shelf than all of the individual years.
Bottom line - this is an enjoyable series and you can't beat the price for this complete set of all five year.

this is a great collection to get and enjoy. gene roddenberry did a great show with this show and star trek. expect to pay quite a bit for this collection but worth the pickup.
