The Animal Alphabet: Learning Your ABC's with Animals (DVD, 2002)

The DVD is agreat and fun way to learn the Alphabet. The animals are not your usual animals that you might think of when you get to a certain letter so it helps the kids learn about new and different animals. Some of the animals were new to me also which was great.

This is a nice video to teach the alphabet and learn animals. There are 26 animals to match with the alphabet. The songs are cute, too. The first time you hear them say Armadillo, you will almost fall over. Shocking is the Jaguar. My cousin first had this DVD. When I stopped over one time her daughter said Jaguar. I thought, wow, she's got great taste in cars, until they told me she was speaking of the animal! LOL

I like the fact that these aren't your typical "ABC"s. Different animals from different areas. My two year old watched it over and over the first few days. I now catch her saying little phrases and then wanting to watch it again. I don't encourage sitting in front of the television, but this is a different alphabet; it teaches the different animals and is easy enough to grasp early on. The only thing that I find slightly annoying is that I'm certain I've heard the guy singing before - he sounds like one of the Wiggles! And the tunes are hard to get out of your head once you've heard it. But I suppose that's what the purpose is to a two year old. All in all, it's a great DVD; much more useful in it's teaching elements than some TV series.

My niece had this when she was little and now as a preteen she still remembers the songs. It was her favorite video. Now I have bought it for my 2 year old daughter and it is always her first choice. Kids love it.

Its a Cute movie but didnt catch the attention of my 21 month old. i think it would be better for slightly older kids. It has a Unique (and sometimes annoying) song and a video about animals for each letter of the Alphabet that can be very educational but they do use some odd animals instead of the basic well known ones to kids.
