Anime... can be a one man show
Created: 17/07/09
I enjoy drawing, watching anime, and reading manga. Those things being true, I would one day like to create my own feature anime. While looking for some instructional books on Manga/Anime techniques, I came across this DVD.
It contains 2 mini anime movies, both created by a single person. It also has a good length feature where the author, Terrance Walker, discusses the technology and tools needed to create anime in the media age we are in.
One of the neat special features on the DVD was the decomposition of an actual scene in the first movie. It contained the "actor" running off a roof top while being shot at by missles. There are missle trails, explosions, debris, etc. Very interesting stuff.
My only comment is that, well, the quality was a little low. From the voice acting to the storyline. That said, hey, it's a one man show... not a Hayo Miyazaki. Good work, Terrance. Looking forward to the day some one else critiques my work.
