Anne of Green Gables - The Collection (DVD, 2008, 5-Disc Set, 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition)

I have loved Anne of Green Gables for so many years and my graddaughter has grown to love it as much as I do. It is a wonderful story of love, learning,finding your way in life,friendships that last a lifetime, death and how you deal with everyday life. The story makes you laugh and cry as Anne learns the normal things of life. I love the brother and sister because they took Anne into their home and how all their lives changed because of the love that grew between all three. The story begins when she is a young girl and goes into adulthood. I would recommend Anne of Green Gables to anyone.

This is a great family DVD series. I have 3 daughters that have watched these movies since they came out in the late 1980's and early 1990's. They are clean, adventurous and wildly imaginative. My 14 year old is the one who prompted me to look for the whole series and I was delighted to find it all in one 20th Anniversary edition DVD package.
For any of you who had seen the Anne of Green Gables movies at all when they came out will find this collection a must have. It is put together in a tasteful and attractive package. I own the Green Gables and Avonlea on VHS and was delighted to see the whole series in one convenient DVD collection. They have filled the packaging with information on all the characters that starred in the series and where they are now, along with a bonus DVD of material and a booklet. This is a great value for the price, a must have for the Anne of Green Gables fans.

Anne of Green Gables is such a wonderful story. I'm so happy it was digitized for DVD. I also have the first four VHS copies, but had to get the 5 disc set as well.

This is a great release. I have the first movie on DVD and saw that this was out and about. I checked into it and purchased it. I love it. This collection has all 3 movies, plus a great special feature disc that has lots of information and interviews on it.
I am a 55 year old man and love the "Anne of Green Gables" series. Just a wonderful series. Plus I think Megan Follows is a great actress and also everyone else in this series just added to it and made a beautiful series worth watching over and over.

I bought this for my wife, and found it delightful myself. The main character, Anne with an ''E'', has a spirit to match my Dachshund. She is an orphan, but she speaks her mind, sometimes when it's not good for her to do so. Sparks fly when she arrive to her new family, that is expecting a boy. The scenery is beautiful, and the story draws you in. This set comes in 5 CD's that are well packaged. We got it on a Friday, and had watched the entire collection the same weekend. I highly recommend this collection, it is refreshing and very professionally done, do yourself a favor, and buy this exceptional movie!
