) I purchased this book over the internet based on the price, photos and description on the auction site. I am very pleased with the quality of the hardcover and the price was quite reasonable including the shipping charges. The photos are large and clear which makes identifying the buttons easy. The book is laid out in a pleasing and easy to understand format with quite a bit of information on the buttons. Overall I am very satisfied with the purchase and the book will be used as reference often as I am an avid button collector. I recommend this book to anyone who is starting a button collection.

As a newcomer to the fascinating world of collectible buttons, I needed a good reference book to learn more about identification of various types of materials used in buttons as well as a way of aging them. This book is a wonderful guide , supplying that information as well as beautiful pictures/examples. Additional information is provided on the care of old and modern buttons and a bit of history as well.An excellent resource.
