The Apocalypse (2004)
Created: 04/06/06
I bought this movie because I saw a preview for it when I bought The apostle Paul and it looked really interesting. I liked it because it covers the history of how the apostle John received the vision from God of the book of Revelation which isn't covered in the Bible of course. We just know that it is scripture but there are other things we can learn about Christianity that are interesting that history records and not the Bible itself. I guess I was expecting more visual on the way Revelation is really written, I also was expecting more of their interpretation of what is really going to happen, didn't quite pan out that way. Overall, it was a pretty good movie.

A touching portrayal of the visions in Revelation
Created: 03/03/07
Have you ever wondered what the many visions in the book of Revelation might have looked like? I was very touched by their portrayal in this film. The photography was excellent and thought-provoking. A clear picture was given of the historical situation at the time that John was on the Isle of Patmos. Everything was tied together by a fictional romance between a young Christian Jewess and man who turns out to be a Roman spy and who later becomes a Christian. If you liked the book of Revelation, you will love this film.

An Excellent Portrayal Of John-Author Of The Apocalypse

The video images utilized to portray "what" John saw are excellent. The visual portrayals of these revelatory images are essentially true to their scriptural representations and are free from external interpretations. The fictionalized story-line does not detract from but rather enhances the movie's content. Richard Harris provides a very compelling portrayal of John. You won't find this one on store shelves, so, get a copy while they

Excellent photography. Italian art at its best! Beautiful to the eyes, touching to the heart, and invigorating to the spirit. I feel sorry for people that have "eyes that do not see and ears that do not hear" for such people go through life not reaching the depth of the human spirit that the creative God intended. Bravo!!! There are no producers like Italiano producers.

Excellent Biblical Drama Depicting John in Revelation.

We loved the movie. My wife and I are volunteers at Cathedral Bible College in Myrtle Beach and she wanted the DVD to show to her students. Excellent movie with very credible "special effects" as the Revelation of God is revealed to the Disciple John.
