Until now, we have only owned PC's. We have been driving a horse & buggy when we could have been driving a Farrari. This Apple is so much easier to use and so much faster there is NO comparison. We are now going to get rid of my wifes PC and get her an Apple also.
I would recommend the Apple to anyone who is buying a new computer. You absolutely will not regret it.

Solid and Easy to Use Computer

) Everything about Apple's products are build with presentation in mind. The current OS X 10.6 is solid with this iMac. USB ports and the power button are found on the back of the monitor. The sound and picture are adequate. I have no complains but only a solid recommendation.

Its smooth, sleek looking, great performance for its age in all programs, even the most modern. Low end gaming, but hey, at least it games period. Excellent work on photos, videos, music, and the internet. Not to mention how completely amazing it looks. The first incarnation of the now standard Aluminum and Glass, its large face just commands attention when you see it on a desk. It runs really quiet, though it comes with some high heat (the top can burn your hand after intensive usage). It performs best with a full 4GB of RAM, though you can add in an extra 2GB (4GB+2GB) to have 6GB for high memory tasks like Photoshop and virtualization. You can even upgrade the processor, if you're daring enough, and sneak even more performance from it. The graphics, sadly, are stuck as a bottom of the line 3D card...but its encoding abilities and 2D animations are smooth as glass. Despite the '18-bit' screen, even with my pictures and videos, it looks very good, high color, high contrast, ESPECIALLY after manual calibration.
If you're looking for a quick in to what Mac is all about, this is it. You can even use it as a stepping stone to better things, but all in all, good computer. Buy it, use it, love it.

SMOOTH TRANSITION FROM PC TO MAC

Being used to PC meant to me been used to HEADACHES. Having to rely in a computer system the can't prevent breakdowns, virus, trojans, overheathings, etc. was a dissaster. It took me a while but finally switched from PC to MAC.
Now finally I'm "trouble free"!!! If only I had done it before.
Anybody out there: IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR EXCELLENCE SWITCH TO ANY MAC.
