Aerosmith is the most dominant presence here, as they offer up no less than four tunes, including the grand power-ballad "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" and a slinky cover of "Come Together."The bearded boys of ZZ Top check in with "La Grange." AOR legends Journey turn up too, trying out new lead singer Steve Augeri, who unsurprisingly sounds rather similar to ex-Journey vocalist Steve Perry. Even Yes is represented, with guitarist Trevor Rabin's instrumental "Theme From Armageddon." Representing the more contemporary end of things are relative newcomers Chantal Kreviazuk and Our Lady Peace.

Soundtrack Represents

Created: 22/09/06
I love it when a movie soundtrack can live up to the movie it represents and this one does just that. Aerosmith has five great songs on this album and shows it's softer side with love song "Don't Want to Miss a Thing". I also love "Sweet Emotion" harmonies and "Come Together" is a decent remake. I think it's pretty awesome to have Steve Tyler singing on the soundtrack from a movie that his daughter Liv Tyler is starring in. Makes it even more special. ZZ Top La Grange is a classic great. You also can't go wrong with Journey, Jon Bon Jovi and Patty Smyth. Bon Jovi definately shows that he can rock! Overall a great original soundtrack worth having in your CD collection.

Armageddon Soundtrack Review

Created: 07/02/09
Next to Heavy Metal (The Original) Movie Soundtrack, this is my favorite as far as popular music goes. The cleaned-up and re-mastered version of Sweet Emotion is awesome and Don't Wanna Miss a Thing is most definately one of the all-time great rock ballads. Over all, the soundtrack is a great mix of current music and oldies that I never get tired of. Since advent of CD's, I don't wear 'em out like I used to the Heavy Metal Soundtrack (purchased 12 times on cassette and twice on CD) Armageddon has been borrowed four times on 'the no return plan' by old girlfriends. It is well worth owning.

One of the best soundtracks ever!

Created: 11/01/09
This really is one of the best soundtracks ever for rock fans! Featuring 4 Aerosmith tracks and 1 Journey, ZZ Top, Jon Bon Jovi, and Bob Seger tracks, how can any true rock fan not like this? A couple songs i really don't like such as the Theme and Animal Crackers, but almost all the others are amazing! Just listen to the cd and you'll see what i mean!

Great CD - A Must Have

Created: 09/03/11
I normally do not buy movie soundtracks, however this one is well worth the exception. First it was the only CD I could find Aerosmith's "Dont wont to miss a thing" on and it is worth the price for that one alone. However this CD has a great mix of songs by some of the greatest artists from Rock and Roll. I highly recommend this CD and you find them so reasonable now.
