Publisher's Note
If you are hunting for the best book on American game calls, this is it. More than 275 game calls, made by traditional and company call makers, are featured in close to 400 color photos. Each call is identified as to maker, approximate age, area of manufacture, and current collector value. Examples of famous call makers such as Perdew, Allen, and many others are included, as well as a wide sampling of calls from lesser known makers. In addition, the book profiles the major American call companies like Faulk, Herter's, Lohman, Mallardtone, and Olt. Most of the calls have never before been seen in print.

Game Calls

This is a must have for anyone interested in learning about game calls or for the expert that wants to know a little more info about the calls and modern values. As a collector of calls with over 300 in my collection, I was still able to gain knowledge from this guidebook.

The Art of American Game calls is a great book for beginners in showing what is out there for collectors. I would liked to have seen more information about carved or painted calls. This book gave me names to start looking at and where to search. I bought this book because of its looks as well as the valueable information it contained. this book displays as well as the game calls.

I enjoyed the book. I love the color pictures. I purchased this book to add to my collection of waterfowl items. I also learned about other call makers from this book.

Don't really have any positive or negative comments

This is a very informative book, and although I wish there had been more examples of the more common/lower priced calls, the knowledge I've gained about call collecting and pricing on them made the purchase well worthwhile.

This book is a very valuable piece of research/reference material that I would highly recommend as a must have for the novice call buyer/collector like myself.
