    Synopsis
"I am a father who has no idea what has happened to his child. The questions run through my mind all day long. Is she dead? Is she being held captive somewhere? Is she crying out for me?" These are the words of Dave Holloway, father of Natalee Holloway, whose disappearance in Aruba sparked a media frenzy and an international scandal. This book is the story of his search, the most complete account of Natalee Holloway's disappearance in Aruba. Continuing his investigation to this very day, Holloway discloses behind-the-scenes details of the investigation, new revelations about the corruption of the Aruban law enforcement, and the countless trails leading to possible rape, murder, and even sexual slavery. Holloway relates the horror of personally searching through crack houses and trash dumps for Natalee--working alone, with authorities, even with psychics--while enduring the stonewalling of Aruban officials.--From publisher description.

Like many viewers, I have been following the Holloway story on television since it's inception. My feelings are that both Dave and Beth are very courageous individuals whose fight to learn the truth about their daughter's dissapearance is remarkable.
As a father, it was easy to feel what they are feeling and Dave's narative of the events in Aruba was both concise and alarming. I can't help but wonder if the current political climate may have had an infulence upon the manner in which the Aruban officials demonstrated such a lack of concern for these Americans.
I highly recommend this publication to anyone interested in more in depth imformation that was omitted from the media coverage and hope that for their sake that the truth will surface in the future. M.F. Foster

A Father's Search for his Missing Daughter

    Created: 21/07/09
This heartbreaking story of Natalee Holloway's disappearence while on a high school graduation trip to Aruba and her father's relentless quest to find her or to at the very least, find out what happened to her is a sad story indeed. Well told, it is absolutely astounding to hear of the corruption the family was forced to deal with by the Arubian authorities, who were more concerned with protecting their tourism industry than helping the family find their precious Natalee. The story will easily hold your interest, but leave the reader wishing for a different outcome at the end.

    Materialism -- obviously

    Created: 20/07/06
Indeed, this book was written too soon and based only on speculation. It's sad to see how people are so hungry for money, they'll do anything to get it. The father wrote a book in a hurry while the story was still hot to get people to buy it only to read again all the speculations and the mother brought in people from Paramount Pictures, because she wants to make bigger money. She's in more serious business. Joran van der Sloot doesn't want to be left out and decides to write a book himself, so he too can profit from this situation. PEOPLE WAKE UP!!! Ask yourself, how come did the mother show up 1 day after Natalee was supposed to fly back to the States, with flyers that her daughter was kidnapped and with FBI with her??? She must have very good contacts to have FBI on the case in 1 day!!! Isn't that odd? And while she was in Aruba having a good time in the Casino's and drinking and laughing, was she really desperate looking for her daughter. I don't think so. If the FBI was so good, they should search for answers from Mrs. Twitty, because she is the only person that can really tell where her own daughter is.

Send Money, it's all about the bucks

    Created: 25/07/06
There are few real facts in this thrown-together-to-cash-in book. A bunch of young teens who were not allowed to consume alcohol in the US sent to Aruba on a drunk-fest with very little (none) supervision and friends who didn't care. I always wonder if she ran away to escape these parents who are all about cashing in on her disappearance??? What a way to rake in the bucks! How soon until the Mom's book comes out? Oh but she has hidden the millions of donations in a "Save Yourself" foundation, has a new face, and a new career. Maybe she will play herself in the movie. Too bad she didn't spend some of her own money on the search, just saved herself for the cameras.
Poor lost Natalee, and I mean truly lost...with parents like these, who wouldn't swim out and never come back!

    I love true crime

    Created: 05/11/08
I love true crime. I don't like the fact that Natalee has NOT been found and her family is still searching and these boys are still walking FREE. I hope the Holloways get justice for their daughter and they do find their daughter. The Book Is Wonderful!
