AT&T 146 Single Line Corded Phone

Liked the size and large numbers on the keypad. Disliked the short cord (but at least it can be replaced with a longer one). Also disliked the fact that if someone else picks up an extention phone, you can still hear the conversation, but you cannot be heard.

This everyday item was my choice because it was an AT&T phone because that is a brand recognized for phones and I wanted something that was well known and heard of by all, myself included. I thought it was therefor a name I could trust, and it is.
My second consideration was even though I could have gotten an AT&T phone for less, I chose the Design Line because it is not the same as the regular phone .It is more contoured and lightweight.
My thing is walking around with the phone and with a corded phone this is tough. So I bought a 25 foot cord which is fine.
My only complaint is it's a trifle too light in actual weight but it is modern and functional and lives up to it's name, Design Line.

While there are "cheaper" products on the market, this one is solid and well built and easy to hold for comfort for seniors. Keypad is ideal as well. In a time of cell phones where smaller is better, the quality of sound sent and received is clearer and doesn't suffer from "tower" interference. A good phone for the home.

Good corded phone. Base a little light for desktop mode but better than most I've seen. Nice slim base and no batteries needed.
