AT&T E5965C CORDLESS PHONE SYSTEM
Created: 08/02/08
I had looked at several different brands and models of phones, and narrowed my choice down to this particular one. I looked at several auctions on Ebay and this seller offered this phone at a good price.
The only thing that I dislike about this phone is that there is not a indicator light that flashes to let me know that we have missed a call.
There are so many features that I like about this phone that make up for the one feature that is missing. It has caller ID, call waiting, speakerphone, volume control buttons for both the handset and the base, answering system (which we don't use because we have voice mail), phonebook, plus several other great features too numerous to mention.
I love the large color LCD screen on the handset. There are several features included with this. I also love the voice caller ID. It announces the number calling as the call is coming in.
I would highly recommend this phone. Not only is it a high-quality phone set, but it is actually fun to use.

Pros and Cons
Created: 27/01/08
This phone is a great quality phone with a lot of features. Gave it a four because in the end, I could not get used to their animated polyphonic ring tone, that annoyed me way to much. I ended up selling it on Ebay. :]
Pros:
Great reception
Great range
Color LCD
Expandable - up to 8 handsets
Easy to use
Quality Handset Speaker
Looks nice
Nice menus
Has vibrate/ringer off feature
Uses rechargeable battery which does not cost much to replace
Has the ability to transfer calls from one handset to another
Cons:
Expensive, although you can find it for cheaper on Ebay
ANNOYING polyphonic ringtones (which could be in the pros section depending on preference). You can choose anywhere from a basic ring to classical ringtones. But the ringtone was the reason that led me to part with this phone. SERIOUSLY annoying; even the basic ringtone they offer irritated me. I guess its okay if you only get a few calls a day, but trust me, if you get anywhere from 10-20 calls a day, you should think twice about this phone. It's most annoying when the phone rings when you are trying to read a book, watch tv, eat dinner, sleep. Just putting in my 2 cents.

Talking caller ID cordless phone
Created: 04/10/07
This phone on a whole is very good and I am very satisfied with it. The talking caller ID is great especially when you are busy and can't pick up a handset. I also like the color display screens along with the way you have to use a coin to remove the battery, this is especially good for us woth a small child! The handsets have great reception even at distances that are very far from the base. The expandability of up to 8 handsets with only needing the base plugged into a phone jack was another huge plus. The only drawback is that there is no way besides receiving a call to locate the handsets.

Great range, great features

According to an AT&T CSR, they no longer make a telephone with the "caller announce" feature, which we can't live without. When someone calls, the telephone announces the telephone number of the caller. So without having to run and check caller id, you can hear the number and know if you should rush to answer or not. Especially helpful when you have guests and don't want to take unnecessary calls.
Phone has great range, I can sit at neighbor's pool and still get calls on handset.

AT&T E5965C 5.8 GHz 6 Line Cordless Phone
Created: 12/04/08
I recently purchased this product through Ebay. The price was very reasonable and the phone has operated better than I expected. It makes it easier for me to make calls because I am disabled and have the use of one hand.I can dial from the handset and use the speaker on it or transfer to the base unit.I would encourage anyone who likes to have their hands free to do other tasks give this type of phone consideration. It was very simple to set up which was a great selling point for me and the clarity is really good.So far I have no complaints about this phone.
