Excellent 80's metal.

This was the 2nd album Barren Cross produced and arguably their best, their 3rd "State of control" was very similar in content and sound. With a similar sound to Iron Maiden but not quite as progressive, this band was the oppisite in morality to Iron Maiden. Barren Cross was a Christian band from the 80's during the hair band scene. Based out of Los Angeles, this band had it all. crunchy, catchy sounds, good leads, and a singer that you can actually understand. Weather you like Christian metal or not, this band is for every one who liked that era of music. Imagine the sound of Maiden and the tempo of Whitesnake and no less proffesional in quality. That would be the best way to describe their sound.

This is still the benchmark in Christian Metal. Skill-level and lyrics topnotch. Of course sound much like Maiden but without sounding forced in doing so. Great band in concert and a classic release.

Old cassette remastered

I bought this as a cassette in 1988. Although it was Christian Metal it was up to the quality of bands at the time and is a mix of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. A great disc I would recommend.
