ATV Offroad Fury 2 nothing spectacular

Created: 07/03/07
I bought this game mainly because of its price. I was able to find this game used on ebay for dirt cheap so figured why not try it because the investment wasnt that great.

I can see this game being fun multiplayer. Playing against the CPU is just impossible sometimes. Other people may be fine with it but I think the AI is too difficult sometimes. I can only play this game for 30 mins before I start to get aggrivated and stop playing.

I know there are other releases of this title, I think they are up to a 4th version now and I hope that one would be much better. Overall I wouldnt recommend buying this game new. I would suggest renting these ATV games first to make sure you dont throw away your money.

The First Game Is Way Better

This game is good, but it's one of those games that drains your wallet because you'll be breaking controllers constantly. The first game is great because it's very responsive and as you get better you really see how much better than the AI you've become. On this version however, the handling sucks no matter which quad you choose. Also, no matter how adapted you get to the handling, no matter how fast your quad's top end and acceleration are, the AI will always be right behind you (or ahead of you). You have to FIGHT hard for every tiny win you get. That really aggrevates me when I'm playing for fun but not having fun. Gamefaqs.com is the only cure for this :)

Another Great game in the series ,Not as good as the first one or the third one but it's way better than anything out there tryng to do this style of racing. My son loves just roaming around in these games .Great 2 player fun great graphics great game play .What more can you ask for ?, well the tracks are just not as good as the other games in the series but if you see this game for under $10.00 snap it up.

I'm not big on racing games, but this one is fun!

Vroom vroom!

I'm quite particular about the racing games I play. They have to be arcadey, and easy to get into. Lucky for me, ATV O-RF2 fits the bill.

The tracks are fun to drive, and unlike most driving games, you can take your ATV off course and have some fun as well.
There's a decent selection of tracks, as well as few ways to play them. some examples are your standard race, time trials, endurance race, challenge modes, or just try to rack up as many trick points as possible.
While you're on the tracks, you'll find the controls tight, and the environments looking really nice.

For the meticulous player, there's lots of atv and player tweaks to make, including some control over you atv's suspension, and engine, as well as the gear your guy has to wear.

The biggest downside to the game is that to get access to all the great tracks and gear is you have to unlock everything! You start the game with the bare necessities (including just 1 track). Now it doesn't take long to unlock a few tracks of course, but for a casual player like me, having to unlock everything can become tedious.

This aside, it's still fun to play, and easy to control. It has lots for almost anyone to enjoy!

ATV Offroad Fury 2

This is the second ATV game in the series. This one has enhanced graphics as well as newer levels to choose from. It still doesn't beat the first but there is more customization in this one. As well as the new "ATV HOCKEY Mini-game" Overall 4/5 for a great game in the second series of ATV games.
