The second reviewer, c.b.electronics, hits the nail right on the head. The first reviewer probably needs glasses, which I wear and I had no difficulty reading the small screen. In fact that is what I love most about the one I bought - its very small and compact size, it is loaded with every feature imaginable. And, finally, it is very simple to operate and has a very long battery life if one uses XL type rechargeable alkaline AAA batteries. With the built in 1 GB internal memory, that is almost enough to satisfy any persons need for storage. However, with the added ability to add external SD cards, I have each genre of my music library on separate 1 GB, and 2 GB SD cards. I also have several cards with a mix of my favorites from each genre. It is very sad that RCA stopped making this wonderful unit. I am buying another one for my niece, from this site, right after I finish writing this review.

Many upgrades and features with this player. The FM recorder is simple to use just push the record button. FM transmitter works great, the cord from the transmitter acts as an antenna so pull out about 6-8 inches for best reception. I place my memory card into the
Player for extra memory. Love this player!!

Previous reviewer was right about the head phone jack.

Very Clunky not a good purchase for a 1st timer.

this is a basic MP3.. but it's a nice little RECORDER which is why I bought it.. (3 of them.) I had 1 get killed by some sort of groundloop problem--and when I took it apart was pleased to find the internal memory was removable and was able to swap into another one to save my recordings. The recordings have a bit of a noise floor, so make sure your rec levels are high enough to cover it.. my ears still here it, but for what these cost.. they're great for capturing quick idea's. The line in passes through the headphone jack so VERY easy to put in the middle of your setup between your instrument and amp.
