| AUSTIN POWERS: INTERNATIONAL MAN OF MYSTERY is the first in the comic series starring this bodacious 1960s spy played by the hilarious Mike Myers. Decked out in the gaudiest mod attire--ruffled shirts, tight-fitting candy-colored suits, horn-rimmed glasses, and prosthetic teeth--Austin Powers is anything but subtle. His near-constant exclamations of "Groovy, Baby," accompanied an uncandid flash of his flirtatious smile, only add to his wonderfully exaggerated hipster persona. Plotwise, Austin Powers and his enemy Dr. Evil (also played by Myers) awake from 30 years of frozen, cryogenic sleep to find themselves in the year 1997. A conniving Dr. Evil plots a reign of terror and mass destruction, but finds that his ideas and methods are a bit out of date. Our hero encounters a similar dilemma, realizing that he is definitely behind the times. A series of well-meaning though bumbling efforts to thwart the insidious Dr. Evil keep Austin Powers and his devastatingly beautiful partner Vanessa Kensington (Elizabeth Hurley) hard at work as they travel from London to Las Vegas. With this tongue-in-cheek send-up of James Bond spy films and 1960s cliches, director Jay Roach compliments Myers' over-the-top performance with a lighthearted soundtrack, fun photography, and amusingly retro sets. | |

In this movie, Austin Powers International Man of Myster, Austin Powers and Ms. Kensington are both british agents trying to battle with Dr. Evil. Dr. Evil escapes into orbin in his cryogenic facility that keeps him frozen. Austin is put on ice to keep up with Dr. Evil. After a very long time, Dr. Evil is thawed out and steals a nuclear missle. Austin is then thawed (this is really funny) and is teamed up with a new agent, Vanessa. Vanessa happens to be Ms. Kensington's daughter. This is really a funny movie with some very interesting characters, like Alotta Fagina.

) this movie is beyond funny. must see many times to appreciate all it's humor. highly recommend. i believe there are three in all and anyone who likes to laugh should get all three. a lot of jokes are from things that have happened in james bond movies or just in history in general, so if you are a james bond fan as well....this is a must.

Great Classic Movie in the Austin Powers series. I personally like the 1st and 2nd Austin Powers vs the 3rd. I always catch it when its on Cable, 1/4 way,1/2 way,3/4 way, doesnt matter when I catch it , I know im in for some great laughs. Probably one of the best Comedy trilogy's

) i just bought the austin powers movie for my daughters psp. i am very impressed with the whole outcome. i have no complaints. overall, i would recommend this movie.

) I found that this movie is really great. A great comedy with good actor. This movie is a base for a lot of use expression of the 90 people. I looooooooooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedddddddddddd it.
