Avatar: The Last Airbender - Book 3: Fire - Vol. 1 (DVD, 2007)

Theatrical release: 2007 | Rating: Not Rated

Movie synopsis

The children's cable network Nickelodeon fashions an American spin on Japanese anime with their original series AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER. On a futuristic Earth torn between the warring elements of Air, Earth, Water, and Fire, only one special being known as the Avatar can bring peace to the conflicted planet. The trouble is, the Avatar is an immature 12-year-old boy called Aang, who would rather wander the world having fun-filled adventures than settle down and face his heroic destiny. Ably blending kids-oriented comedy with martial-arts action/adventure worthy of its Japanese counterparts, AVATAR kicks off its third cycle with these five episodes, in which the kids invade Fire Nation.

Aang Strikes Back....

Created: 10/11/07
In the end of last Avatar Book: Earth, Aang had suffered a dire injury. Now the world believes that the Avatar is dead. Using this to their advantage, the Aang along with Katara, Sokka and Toph decide to secretly invade the fire nation and stop the Fire Lord before the comet arrives.

For the first time ever Aang is drawn with a full head of hair. There is a lot to love here, the personality of different characters are excellently written and voice dubbed. This chapter in the Avatar saga introduces new characters and expands the story, the quality never slips for a moment.

In my opinion this non-Japanese animated series is on the level with some of the greatest JAP anime.

You must see book 1 to complete the whole next series. The different figures, different nations that is counting on the last avatar. With great water, earth, fire benders working side by side.

I never could of have expected a show like Avatar: The Last Air Bender from Nickelodeon three. An American epic cartoon that gets its inspiration from Japan's best animated shows. An unexpectedly real show made by people who remember when other-worldly was always better. The series is at its best when it mixes its unlikely heroes with an unexpectedly strong problem.
