The Missing Mrs Peel

This is an excellent bonus disc. I have the original box set so missed out on this when it came out. I was disappointed that the chessboard intro was not included on the episodes as these were how I have always seen them.
The New Avengers 'cameo' isnt really a cameo at all. It is merely old footage of Emma in her flat answering the phone and wouldnt detract if not in this episode in the first place.
The three minute promo for the upcoming color series that it preceded is a gem as well. Showing Diana Rigg doing her fighting moves in front of Steed.

Emma Peel it is not!

First, the title is misleading. Emma Peel Collector's Edition brings to one's mind that this will be all about Diana Rigg's indomitable Emma Peel...right?
...Well, to my dismay, it is not, there is very little with Emma, everything but Emma, there's Steed and his male partner, Honor Blackman, Linda Thorson...as I stated....everything but Emma Peel. I was rather disappointed, but I like the commentaries with Honor and Linda. The title should be changed to reflect what this item really represents. To all Diana Rigg fans like myself, we work ourselves up to a frenzy waiting for this DVD to arrive, pop it in...and while we are waiting for it to initialize....we then realize what this really is, or should I say is not.

Where's Emma?

I bought this for my husband who's a HUGE Emma Peel/Diana Rigg fan. But like the other reviews say, Emma Peel was hardly in this edition at all. I was kind of disappointed. The big surprise is that my hubby actually *really liked it* and got some history behind the characters that he found fascinating. so I have to give this one a pretty high ranking. Just be aware that there's virtually no Emma time.
