Product Information
You are Marty McFly, just a typical senior at Mill Valley High. But after getting behind the wheel of a nuclear-powered sports car turned time machine, you find yourself in the year 1955, where you've accidentally tampered with history. Now it must be corrected. You must showhow make sure that teenagers Lorraine Baines and George McFly, the two kids that will eventually grow up to become your parents, fall in love before the photo of your family fades away and you're left with nothing to come home to. It won't be easy. You'll have to protecte George from Biff and his gang of bullies while doing your best to keep them from beating you up instead. To complicate things, Lorraine has a crush on you, so you'll have to dodge her advances while trying to figure out a way to get George and her to kiss at the school dance. Time is wasting and even if you manage to put all the pieces back in place, there is still no guarantee that you'll ever get back. It will all come down to one brief moment in time when the past, present and future meet.

Anyways, lets get right to the gameplay. The first mission is just a standard get to the end of the level before time runs out while avoiding all the stuff that are in your way. The direction you move in is up, but you can move side to side trying to avoid everything. So what do you need to avoid? Deadly ninjas, killer turtles, oktoroks, giant monsters of doom? Actually, no. You have to avoid bees, hoola-hoop girls, guys carrying glass for no apparent reason, oil spills, and fences. Really, is Marty that much of a pansy? Wait, the character you use doesn't even resemble Marty in anyway. Throughout the stage, you have to collect clocks so your time limit increases. So that's basically what you do. Collect clocks while avoiding random ****. It's just so annoying. Along the way, you can find a skateboard which makes you go faster. Though they should've put on the board, "Suicidal Skateboard, ride if you wish to die." By now you'd probably just want to take out the cartridge out of your NES and start watching the actual movie.

However, if you did have the patience to go through that stage, then don't worry, the next stage is different. It's a break from that annoying scrolling stage. However, it's not anymore fun. What you do in this stage is that you're behind a counter and you have to throw these balls at oncoming people. If they reach you, they'll grab and you just chuck you at the door. Though throwing the balls is just so aggravating. It's so difficult to align the ball with the enemy. Okay, so you position yourself seemingly right in front of the enemy's path, then you throw a ball, but it misses him completely. This stage is break from that annoying scrolling part, but it's not any less aggravating. Oh, and once you're done with this second stage, guess what the next stage has in stored for you? More scrolling up the screen! Whoop-tee-do, I'd rather go and screw a cactus while eating a mule's infested diarrhea dumps. If by now you haven't shut off this awful piece of ****, then I'm sorry, but there is no hope for you. Seriously, just throw this game into the dumpster and pull out the movie. It's much more worth your time.

The mechanics of this game just suck. It's difficult to control your character, and jumping is useless. Grabbing that skateboard I mentioned above just makes everything even worse. The graphics aren't that bad. Though they aren't impressive in anyway either. If the graphics are the best thing about a game, then there's a problem. The sound is horrible. It's just an annoying sound loop that goes throughout the whole game from the title screen. At least in that second stage you don't have to hear it. The sound effects aren't impressive in anyway either. Overall, the mechanics certainly aren't the worst on the NES... Though they still suck.

This game is criminal. It ruined such a great classic called Back to the Future. This game is just a rip-off. It's a horrendous game that just steals that classic title. It should've been called "Back to the Dumpster."

This is possibly one of the worst games ever to come out for the nintendo. Movie games are notoriously poorly made with few exceptions. The game play has little to nothing to do with the movie and isnt very interesting. Your basically a character dodging items on the roads of hill valley to get to boss/level/stages that are the only challenging part of the game, also the only parts that make any sort of reference to the movie. The game also includes an awful soundtrack of a fifteen second loop of tonal nonsense, and none of the great movie music. If your collecting nes games just because you have to have them then you are a cursed soul such as I, if your getting games for entertainment this is a waste of time and money, however little it may be.

This is one of the worst video games ever made. It reminds me of E.T. for Atari. Made from a popular movie just to make a few bucks. My friend gave me this game for free in 1990, that should have raised some red flags right there. I thought cool, I loved the movie, so the video game must be alright. I popped this piece of garbage into my NES and pushed power. After two minutes of horrendous game play I shut this piece of junk off and tossed it into the garbage, no joke (even though I collected NES games). This one in not worth the plastic it is made from. I just remember LJN making really bad games. I rather play in the traffic then play any piece of garbage made by LJN. I hate LJN, they wasted my parents money one to many times.

I gave this game a 5/5 based on how it is one of the worst NES games available. The music on the game is horrible, most of the characters don't even resemble their movie version characters, but this game is so bad its good. Plan on beating this game finally after about 20 years. So time to take the Delorean Time Machine for a spin and kick some bullies, hoola hoop girls, and giant bumble bee asses.

The music is just one big loop from start to finish.
You walk around collecting clocks, everything kills you, when you get the skateboard you can't stop or slow down, so you die faster!
This game all around sucks.
Nothing is fun about it..

I'd save my money and buy the movie!
