Huge improvement on the first game. Still not great.

    Created: 10/12/07
This game was a VAST improvement on the first game. First off, the create a wrestler is much better. It's still not that great, but now you can at least actually customize your character. However, one thing that I did not like was that they didn't really have ANY accessories readily available. You had to earn money in career mode and buy them. No hats, sunglasses, gloves, or anything like that unless you bought them in career mode. Also, once you bought them, you couldn't change the color or anything. You can change the color of your hair and all the clothes, but whatever stupid reason, you can't with the accessories. So, you earn money and finally buy, say, a beanie, only to find it is a but ugly beanie that looks ridiculous on your character. That's the other thing. They don't let you see it before you buy it.

Anyway, the game play is much better. More characters are readily available... in exhibition mode. That brings me to the other majorly stupid thing about this game. In career mode... YOU CAN'T BE THE REAL WRESTLERS!!! You have to be a created wrestler. As if that weren't bad enough... YOU DON'T WRESTLE THE REAL WRESTLERS EITHER!!! You wrestle a bunch of completely stupid looking created wrestlers the game generates itself.

Obviously, you eventually unlock the ability to be the real wrestlers in career mode, and to wrestle them in career mode as well, but the career mode is so ridiculously long that you get too bored to care.

A lot of improvements in this game, though. For one, you can finally pin your opponent and make them submit. Of course, you still can also get a KO by beating the crap out of them until their health bar is empty.

It really is a shame that they screwed up the career mode so horribly, because this otherwise would have been an okay game. It is otherwise a big improvement over the first game and shows that obviously this series truly DID have potential, but they just made changes that are stupid. If they were more imaginative with the career mode, maybe the series could have even continued. I mean, can you imagine getting a WWE game only to find out that you can't play a career mode as one of your favorite wrestlers until you go through an entire career mode as a created wrestler? That's just amateur bull crap, if you ask me.

Bad fighting game, Bad wrestling game. Bad everything.

    Created: 04/10/08
I am a big BJW fan and a game that had Ryuji Ito in it I thought would be worth it for pure novelty. What a joke. The wrestlers don't look like who they are modeled after and they sure don't wrestle like it. This really isn't even a wrestling game. It's a awful unrealistic fighting game with wrestlers, pornstars and bad b-list celebrities. And don't think that if you have the wrestlers they will be anything like the wrestlers in real life. Most wrestlers have NONE of their real moves. Not even their finishers. And the moves are not realistic. The wrestlers fly around up into the air while doing their moves and do spinning Kudo Driver's and and absurd moves. And there are about 10 moves in the game so really it's not fun at all.

    Gameplay wise?
It's a fighting game. And a awful fighting game too. And you may think "Well they have lighttubes so that wiould be cool!" Well guess what. They only have 2 lighttubes in the game and they aren't even in the backyard area of the game. And none of the weapons feel like they have any effect. Just a bad animation and it get's really repetitive.

Don't buy this game. It's not worth it at all.

    Better than expect

    Created: 06/12/07
The game is better than expected. I bought it expecting sub-par gameplay and boredom very easily. This is not the case at all. I bought the game for hardcore gameplay and hardcore wrestlers that I know, without the storylines and redudundant season mode that WWE games offer.

I do wish however that instead of a bunch of no-namers in the mission, challenges, and tournaments they'd have the actual roster, but it's fine I guess. I still love it, making me think that there needs to be a Legends of Wrestling: Hardcore edition made.
