Backyardigans - It's Great to Be a Ghost! (DVD, 2005)

This is the second Backyardigans DVD we've purchased; and our daughter (20mo) just loves them! Each DVD has 4 different stories (shows) on them plus some really nice "bonus features." My favorite feature is if you choose "play all" the dvd will continually replay itself. No having to stop what I'm doing to go restart a dvd. Our daughter loves to dance & "sing" along with the characters! She comes running into the room everytime she hears the intro music. What I really love about the Backyardigans is that every story takes place in the backyard... its great to teach children to use thier imaginations and go outside to play out whatever "adventure" they want. The opening song clearly explains this at the start of every show. I also like that the closing of each story is about going back inside to have a snack & almost everytime it mentions something "healthy" to have. Its never chips, or soda. The only thing I would change about the DVDs is to add a subtitle option. I use subtitles on nearly everything our daughter watches to encourage reading & word association.

This movie is wonderful, for toddlers and adults! It features the Backyardigans, which are five animal friends that live in a neighborhood together and invent adventures to journey on with one another. During their adventures, they use teamwork, solve problems, and sing tons of great songs! The songs are very entertaining, and the shows are quite funny. My daughter loves "re-playing" for us by herself in the evening! She knows all of the songs! My two-year-old also loves the show. It is very kid friendly and appropriate. A show you can definitely feel safe letting your kids watch - a great show! This is the first DVD of the series!

My children love the Backyardigans. These adventure loving characters are so colorful and teach good values. I know that if my children are watching the backyardigans that i do not have to worry about them learning about things that are unacceptable.

The backyardigans are always having fun imagining and acting out different adventures. These are great stories for children and mom and dad will probably like them too.

The Backyardigans are just adorable! And this movie is just as cute! It has all the characters Pablo,Tasha,Austin,Tyrone, and Uniqua. It's filled with songs and dancing! My toddler loves Pablo, and knows all the characters names! It keeps him entertained through the whole hour long movie! Highly Recommended!

Another great Backyardigans DVD! My son is very entertained by them in their fun adventures. Even my 10 year old will sit and watch it!
