very good but lacking for a dungeons and dragons.

This game is very cool for RPG gamers that have wanted to play two-player and one of the only RPG games that you can;and one of the only reasons I bought it. Also this game is very fun to play because of the many different missions from saving friend to taking out the undead to save a town. The grafics for the most part are very good and realistic. The choice of characters is a bit limiting when you first begin, but makes up once you beat it.Another thing that makes up for the characters is the cool wepons, spells, armor, and shields that you can use. Also you can pocess, from flaming swords to shooting great meteors at the helpless enemys that get in your way to save your dundeons and dragons world!

Excelent Game

This game while old, is a classic and belongs in every RPG lovers library. the gameplay is both challenging and creative in getting the player to play just one more level. It pales in comparison to its big brother on the PC "Baldurs Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast" but also provides a great co-op experience for a small party or gathering.

Dark Alliance for XBOX

Baldur's Gate was my favorite PC Game and when I got an XBOX, I wanted to get this game. I am playing my way thru it still and while it is a good game, it is not the same as the PC Game. It is fun, but I really enjoyed the RPG PC version more. I do love the AD&D setting and the graphics are quite good. The game play is easy to navigate and there aren't a lot of times when you are confused by pressing the wrong button or have trouble using any interface. Probably the disappointing thing is that it is your single character, you don't get a lot of initial control in deciding stats or character class. You get to choose one of three classes/races to play.

Baldurs Gate Good choice, great play

I have always been the fan of RPG games, and there are few and far between that I have found and come to actually like. This is one of them, fun gameplay and the cooperative mode makes it even better.
I like being able to play games with my girlfriend cooperatively, so we can have a great time being and playing together. Not many rpgs give the co-op mode, so if you got a girl who loves to play games with you, this is the one to be playing together.

Impressed Again

The guys who put together the Baldur's Gate series of games never fail to impress me with their attention to detail and fine-tuned products. This is, like the games in the series that came before it, a wonderful sweeping adventure, full of interesting quests, strange critters, and a large variety of magic items and equipment.
The graphics are very nice, and the play style is exactly what one who had played the previous games would expect. Overall, the only flaw I could possibly find is the way the characters aren't balanced - some are good in the beginning levels, some at the end - but this is a characteristic trait of Advanced Dungeons and Dragons games (the wizard is always a wimp at the beginning and middle levels, and then extremely powerful at the end).
Set in Faerun, in the Forgotten Realms setting, the story is well-situated within the lore of the novels and D&D source books. And as this franchise continues to sell well, you will come to recognize many similarities between this game and the others in the series. However, they still manage to make this game feel fresh, new, and completely original.
I highly recommend this game.
