I have watched his show a lot and decided to get his books. A very worth while investment. The books are geared more to the exotics. By that I mean there are no plain hambuger or steak recipes. If you are willing to try some different types and styles of BBQing and Grilling, then this is the book or (BIBLE) to get.
Steven has treked the world over and recieved some of the best tasting and styles of cooking. I was amazed at how different cultures have use of open fire cooking.
There is a chapter for everything, including drink recipes on what to serve with every type of BBQ.
Bottom line: If you like to cook over an open flame, and want to learn how to get better, with some really impressive recipes, This is the book to get.

) it was for my dad and he love all the great recipes. Couldn't ask for a better Grilling Book. They are all great recipes and he Is looking forward to purchasing another book by Steve Raichlen.
My first barbecue text book

) Learned about "Barbecue University" through PBS Create Channel and had to have this book. Steven made barbecuing look so easy and fun and we found his recipes easy to follow. The best thing about this book is its versatility. I started with charcoal and switched to gas, and he has both covered. Looking forward to more barbecuing in the future now that we have his recipe books.
There are many great books about BBQ, but this is really the BIBLE.

I'm German and bought the Barbecue Bible already three times. It is always a great gift to friends who also love to have a BBQ!
It covers everything, Hardware, basics and tells you about nearly erverything you can put un the grill.
There are many great books about BBQ, but this is really the BIBLE.

Bought for gifts; had given one before and it was VERY well received, he bragged on it to his brother, so I got more for his brother and a friend. Has good recipes and ideas, seems to be very well done. They're all avid BBQ'ers so should see lots of use!
