I have read some disappointing reviews but I have been a Barbie lover of over 45 years & for the price, compared to other books of over 300 pages, I think it is a good value and was helpful...plus, I think it makes a good collectible in itself. The first 36 pages are photos only and the back are prices. Kinda small for me to read but all in all comparing price, quality of values that people are getting for the dolls, accessories, etc, & information...I think it is a good book and collectible for the Barbie lover.

I'm a new Barbie collector. I was disappointed there wern't more pictures. You can't know what the clothes look like from their names. eBay helps that problem a lot. You can search for the item by name. I would recommend "Barbie - Thirty Years of America's Doll". Although they're all in black & white, pictures are on every page and help you learn which dolls & clothes are from which year.

This is a great book full of information. More for the advanced collector who is familiar with the era dolls and their clothing. Their are a few illustrations which give you a good overview of the era's clothing.All in all an asset to any collectors library to identify their vintage doll cloths.

Now I can see what my collection is worth..Thanks now I know what I need to be looking for and what I should avoid. It also has restored my interest in collecting barbie items and has changed my mind on some items altogether.

This was a very disappointing book. Thought it would be chalked full of pics of Barbie dolls, clothing, etc. 99% of the book is just written listings of these items. Glad I didn't pay much for it!!!
