Album NotesThis is a continuous in-the-mix recording compiled and mixed by DJ Baby Anne.Photographer: Carlos Amoedo.DJ Baby Anne is a Florida-based DJ whose mixing skills are demonstrated on this album by a continuous mix of tracks by artists as celebrated as DJ Icey and as obscure as Isle Natividad. Bass fans will not be disappointed: that Florida sound shudders through loud and clear, especially on Sharaz's "Jam the Box '99" and on "Go Round-n-Round" by Victor Victorious (presented here in an Atmospherix remix). DJ Baby Anne's own "The Bass Queen" and "Abercrombie" are also both quite good, but pride of place probably goes to the extremely heavy and nicely titled "Pepper Spray" by DJ 43. Honorable mention goes to Isle Natividad, whose "Isle's Tribal Disco" manages to subtly embed a soca beat and samba whistle into its four-on-the-floor club groove. ~ Rick Anderson
