A stellar superhero game that raises the bar for its peers!

2009 was one of the best release years in video game history. But one game in particular took everyone by surprise – Batman: Arkham Asylum. It shattered the stereotype that all comic book-themed games are lackluster and went on to become the greatest comic video game ever. This week’s sequel had a lot to live up to, and it definitely rose to the occasion.

In fact, this sequel is so good, I think it will dethrone the original as “the greatest comic book video game ever.” The game is just so well made, from graphics and gameplay to story and features, it’s highly polished and an easy contender for Game of the Year.

When you’re not taking on ten dudes at once like a one-man army, you’re using awesome gadgets and stealth tactics to solve the current problem. The game makes you appreciate the fact that Batman is more of a detective than superhero.

Additionally, weaved throughout the story are levels where you play as Catwoman, which keeps the game fresh and prevents it from getting too repetitive. I could go on for hours about why the game is amazing, but I'll keep it short and just tell you that you need this game now.

Bottom Line: Regardless of whether you are a Batman fan or not, Arkham City is an awesome game that anyone will fall in love with. It’s an easy contender for Game of the Year.

    XBOX 360 Batman Arkham City

No escape from Arkham City...the sprawling mega-prison in the heart of Gotham City, home to its most violent thugs and infamous super-villains. With the lives of innocent civilians at stake, only on man can save them and bring justice to the streets: Batman.

This game for the XBOX 360 has been breathtaking so far. I have really enjoyed the side missions and the game play immensely. The four chapter story arc which you can play as Catwoman I have not yet attempted, but look forward to playing that as well. Great graphics, great story line. All around a very well made game. I highly recommend this game.

Great Sequel to Arkam Asylum, If you liked the first play this one. This game has something for everyone, casual gamers can beat the main story and The Riddler's challenges are perfect for the more hardcore gamer.

Addicting. Definately addicting. There are lots of different story lines to keep you busy and keep the game from feeling linear. This game does a nice job of mixing action with Batman style detective work. Lots of great gadgets and plenty of villans. The characters are based on their original comic book stylings. The graphics are fantastic. The biggest con is that sometimes figuring out how to get a Riddler trophy can slow down the pace and you may not even have the right technology yet. Also some street fights can devolve into button mashing. Bottom line, it's a great game with all the Batman staples; great villans, cool gadgets, swinging from rooftop to rooftop and great graphics.

I highly reccommend this game. It is a great single player experience that is sure to give a lot of enjoyable hours. With the Catwoman dlc this game gives you two different experiences. I am amazed how different they were able to make the playable characters (that includes Nightwing and Robin). It is a very great game.
