Battlefield 1942 (Deluxe Edition) (PC)

Wow,
this game is amazing.

Battlefield 1942(BF1942) is an amazing game, even though it is not the most current graphics, the game play makes up for it. In this game, you can drive any vehicles on the map, even the aircraft carrier!
There is no shortage for options when choosing what you are (Engineer, scout, etc)
you can be the guy that blows stuff up, all the way to the sniper. The commands are said in the language of the nationality you are playing as, such as German, or russian, which really makes it realistic. While doing the campaign, it is great, first of all there is no shortage in levels, and second of all, if you loose a level (battle) then you can either accept it like in a real war, or redo the battle for the win. This game has multiplayer online which is fun playing against 50 other people in a war like simulation.
The only con about this game, is that on my current pc, which is a dual core processor, i have found that you must set the program affinity to only 1 core, or else the game will freeze up. Since its an easy fix that most dual core people would know, i wouldnt worry about that problem.
Anyways, I would most certainly purchase this game, it is the best!

This game is a must have for any first person shooter fan. Play as USA, Germany, Japan, Soviet Union, and the British as you fight your way across the battles of World War Two. Gameplay is fantastic with no glitches. The online multiplayer option is great once you tire of playing the CPU (which won't be for a while!). This game is worth having and you will be addicted for a long time!

This game was released in 2001 I believe and your probobley thinking "oh 2001 that's has to be outdated and it probobley sucks...". Well you were wrong.

I still find this game fun and I started playing it around release. Even the sequels to this game (Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield 2) arn't as fun as this.

The single player is horrible. The bots are stupid and can't do a thing, even on the hardest difficulty. But that doesn't matter seeing as your probobley going to be playing online most of the time, if not all the time.

After you've played this for quite a while like me, your going to want to check out some of the mods for this game such as the FH mod which makes the game a lot more realastic and adds around 100 more maps.

For the price of $20 in stores and probobley much less here on eBay, you can't go wrong with Battlefield 1942.

This game has addicted me quicker and harder than most any other game out there. An instantaneous hit that I still enjoy even years later.
