Behind Enemy Lines 2: Axis of Evil (DVD, 2006, Dual Side)

Premise and title are the only elements this low-budget military drama shares with the 2001 Gene Hackman-Owen Wilson theatrical feature, but those seeking a dose of action won't be disappointed, despite the lack of on-screen star power. Nicholas Gonzalez (Resurrection Boulevard) and Matt Bushell star as Navy SEALs stranded in North Korea after a mission to destroy a nuclear plant is aborted; a brace of dependable character actors (including Keith David, Bruce McGill, and Glenn Morshower) debates with President Peter Coyote on the best plan of action to bring the troops home safely. Writer/producer/director James Dodson's approach may strike some as less than subtle, but he keeps the film's pace brisk and the action heavy, and yields some commendable results on what is clearly a limited budget. The DVD includes an audio commentary track by Dodson, as well as a pair of making-of featurettes and the original trailer.

Generally sequels are not as good as the originals, but "Behind Enemy Lines II: axis of Evil" is the exception. A great cast all around, with great special effects & editing, makes you feel you right there is the middle of the fire fight! Movie reflects the actual events in 1994 with North Korea 7 how the US & the world responded to the termendous explosion in northern North Korea near the Chinese border. Always great to see Keith David or Samuel Jackson playing command/DI/mentor roles in the military.

The movie did not go as I expected. Totally blew me away. Excellent story, excellent action sequences. Great cast and effects. Be sure to check this movie out. Really good one...

good movie, but like always the first is always the best, it must be the missing part of owen wilson and gene hackman. but still a good movie.

I have had a very good experience with my purchases on this site. This was a very good movie and it played excellent. I will look forward to all of my future purchases as well.
