Movie synopsis
In 1992, a sketch comedy program debuted with little fanfare. With minimal promotional push on a struggling network, THE BEN STILLER SHOW only lasted 12 episodes despite critical raves. Though short lived, the series had a great impact on American comedy. The sardonic skits and pop culture savvy would become staples of comedic fare in the following years. And the young cast of unknowns (Ben Stiller, Andy Dick, Janeane Garofalo, and Bob Odenkirk) would go on to perform in and create some of the most memorably hilarious works of the ensuing decade, THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY, THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW, NEWS RADIO, and MR. SHOW to name a few. This scathingly funny collection contains all 12 original episodes, plus an additional episode which was never broadcast.

) What can I say about this DVD box set... well, it stars Ben Stiller, one of the funniest comedians currently in show business! I watched this series when it was first aired on Fox, back in the early 90's when Fox went thru several short lived TV series in search of a hit. I was very dissappointed when the Ben Stiller Show only lasted 12 episodes. I don't think Fox allowed the show to gather a following or give it a good time slot on TV. This show is simply hilarious. Ben Stiller is still raw with his comedy style, and you can see character developments which he incorporates in later years in his theatrical films. The supporting cast are just as hilarious with fresh faces Janeane Garofalo, Andy Dick, and Bob Odenkirk. This is one of those TV shows where you want to reminisce with other people about it, but alas, not very many people remember the show because it was so short lived. I was very excited to see it finally released on DVD, so that now, not only was I allowed to relive the past somewhat and enjoy some very hilarious skits, but many others can catch this great series who never had the opportunity to watch the first time around. Watch this funny DVD box set... you just gotta love Ben Stiller!

) I found this Dvd set to have some extremely hilarious commentaries. This is definately a must have for any Ben Stiller fan, or fans of comedy in general. To this day my friends and I quote some of the funniest scenes in every day life.

A young Ben Stiller's brilliance shines in this series. It all stands up even though it is nearly twenty years old. Funny is funny and this is funny! Cops at the Salem Witch Trials - "step away from the wagon". We laughed out loud at these sketches and you will, too.
Pretty good, funny abd creative..but sometimes dull.

) Ben stiller is one of my favorites, if u like the cable guy, tropic thunder, abd zoolander, this is perfect for you. Some scenes show suprising brilliance but sometimes flat and dull. Great cast, its like an ammature SNL. 8/10
