    beowulf game allows you to slay, crush and annihilate enemies - give orders and assign positions to your army to complete these tasks. lots of upgrades during play - hand to hand combat with enemies and monsters. could it be better, yes, but you wont get bord with all the hacking and tactics you'll have to do. beowulf has been given a bad rap, but it has better tactical moves than similar ps3 games that got a very high rating. have you ever seen a great movie and its received a bad rating? i think this is the case here.

    dont let your fingers get tired or loose track of the tactical moves or you're in trouble!

    UPDATE #1: AFTER MANY HOURS OF PLAY, I HAVE TO DOWNGRADE TO A 1/5 FROM A 2/5. IT STILL WAS WORTH THE LOW PRICE PAID! ... ORIGINAL: THE GAME IS FUN, DESPITE REVIEWS WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT? FOR A PS3 GAME, GOOD HACK AND SLASH. BUY AT A DISCOUNT! SURE BEATS PUTTING IN QUARTERS AS IN THE OLD DAYS ... HOW FAST CAN THE $30 OR SO DISAPPEAR!! IT'S CHALLENGING ENOUGH, AND YOU MAY GET ADDICTED. WORST THING THAT HAPPENS IS AFTER 20 MINUTES, YOU GIFT IT TO SOMEONE! CANT REALLY LOOSE AT THESE PRICES.

    I ALSO THINK GAME RATERS HAVE BEEN FAR TOO HARSH ON THIS ONE. YES CAN COMPARE TO GODS OF WAR, BUT AS ONE REVIEWER SAID, BEOWULF HAS SOME OF THE THINGS MISSING IN CONAN. THATS NOT A BAD THING! I LIKE IT BETTER THAN CONAN.

    I'm of pure Aryan Blood.My Great Grand Parents came from Norway & Prussia and I'll die as a proud Viking.I've also played so many RPGs from Dungeons & Dragons with the characters & the dice to so many video games.That's why I got this game.That & I figured,why just watch the movie when you can play it with all that's not seen in the movie.That & the graphics are good,what more can you ask for?
