Berserk TV Series Season One (DVD, 2004, 6-Disc Set, Alpha Case)

My single criticism of this series is that it ends on a cliffhanger. Be prepared to feel like it should keep going after it "ends." Let me also say though, that the final scene is so haunting that it will stick in your mind forever. This is a Must-Watch movie for any watcher of Japanese animation. Berserk, the comic book this is based on, is still being written. There is a card game based on the book. It is very well recognized. It is a must-see.

Berserk is tough to summarize, so I won't attempt to do that. But, I will provide a warning. There are *many* boot leg versions of this DVD. Anything with less than 5 discs is a boot leg. There are many other ways to tell a boot leg, so I suggest looking them up. I personally found this out the hard way. Luckily, my investment was only 20 dollars. Other than that warning, I can't say much more.

Buy this and Watch it. It will be worth the several hours invested in watching the entire series. The ending is just that good. Thank you.

I read the first 3 manga books of this show and I have to says that the DVD's have nothing to do with those 3 books. Basically the DVD's are a prequel to the books and they will teach you a lot about GUTS past; which is basically the main character of Berserk. They are very entertaining but they leave you wanting for more. There is some funny outakes on the DVDs but they are not a great deal. This season is good for someone that's being reading the manga story. If not then watch it but you would need to keep reading the story on manga to know what happens.

The number one anime that it is a must see for anime fans. If you haven't checked this out will get it and see all of it. Great music and it is action packed.

Berserk is an amazing series. It is graphic and the storyline is griping. This series hardly has any filler and is non stop action. This series is about Guts and he doesnt know what he wants to do in his life so he joins a group called the Band of the Hawk. In this group he finds what he was looking for and wants to go on his own. Then everything changes...
